- I just started working on the 2008 Europa Calendar. Got tied up in the
Manuals project, so I'm a little late.
Anyway..... I have a few photos from last year that didn't make the 2007
calendar, so I'll give them first choice for placement.
Let me know ASAP if you'd like your car to be in the calendar, and your
first choice of month.
I'll need a photo with at least 1024 x 768 resolution.
First come..... well you know, it fills up fast.
The 2007 calendar can be seen here

- Announcing: Lotus Europa Manuals Online....
Since June 1, 2007 a small team has been working on an entirely new way of
looking at the Europa Parts and Workshop Manuals. We have created a system
that allows online browsing of any manual, and downloading of searchable PDF
files.
Our team consists of:
- Pete Blackford
- Bryan Boyle
- Whit Davis
- Jerry Johnson (Me)
- Steve Veris
The development process went something like this:
- Scan the documents into Optical Character Recognition (OCR) compatible
format.
- Run the OCR program to create Word Document files.
- Clean and save the graphics elements as images.
- Insert images into the Word Documents.
- Edit the Word Documents to find and correct OCR errors.
- Edit the Word Documents to correct known original errors.
- Create searchable PDF documents.
- Create a menu system and html pages to facilitate online viewing.
- Test the menu system and html pages.
- Tweak the menu system and html pages.
The project has progressed to the point where we feel it is ready for Beta
testing.
Please check out the new system and be sure to let us know what we can do to
make it better.
