• Registered as a 1967 S1A due to emissions laws of the time. I have documentation from Lotus stating this. It is serial number 460545. 49035 miles. Engine rebuild (with header and carburator upgrade), new carpet, new radiator, new (original paint code) yellow paint in 2005, otherwise all original. In great shape and I have everything from origianl sales receipt to dock slips from England and reciepts for everything ever done to the car from 1968 on.

• It is originally red, shows original motor 661 on the tag, but now has an 821 motor and although the body is undamaged, it is pretty worn out. The driver's door falls off when opened, the interior is trashed, handbrake is missing and while all the Perspex windows are there, are all opaque at best. It has had numerous non-original "keep it running" fixes (Toyota alternator, Ford solenoid, NipponDenso regulator, creative wiring.)

• I have modified the car for autocrossing. Currently the engine is a Toyota 4AGE 1600cc 4 valve twin cam with dual 40 DCOE 's mated to a Hewland MK 9 4 speed trans.
• Suspension has been modified including springs, lowering, sway bars and TC Europa drive shafts and axles.
• Brake mods include dual masters and disc rear brakes.
• I also owned 46/028? back in the 70's. I found this same car in a junk yard from accident damage in the mid 80's. I assume it was totaled. I'm still looking for the complete chassis #.

One of the earliest in Australia, importer was Taylor Speed Adelaide, original owner Frank Devine sold eventually to myself Eric Mills Mar 1981 yellow in colour. • Car was a driver 5 years ago, parked in dry storage and recently brought back to life. This is the desirable early, low-headlight Europa which has running lights under the front bumper. From a Europa-based web site only 102 were made and this is one of the last S1 Europas made.
• Car runs and drives though it is in need of a front frame rebuild. It is powered by a Renault 807-03 1565cc alloy hemi head crossflow engine with a downdraft Weber 32/36 DG40V, which runs good. Transaxle snicks cleanly through all gears.
• The rear frame appears to be in good useable condition. The front and rear suspension had maintenance before being parked which included new adjustable Spax shocks front and rear, bushings and bearings checked or replace, and new drive shaft u-joints. Pirelli P300 175/70/R13 tires with low mileage.
• 10 feet/10 mph paint job great for a worry-free daily driver. Fabricated hardwood dash panels. Original steel wheels/trim rings/hubcaps. Car has later doors with power windows. Original doors included. A factory Lotus Europa Workshop Manual [August 1972 printing] comes with the car.
